Open Door Service Center
Services and Support:
Open Door Service Center, Inc. is a funded agency of the Sedalia/Pettis County United Way. We also rely heavily on funding from the local churches and individuals who share our concern for meeting the needs of area residents.
While the churches, local individuals, businesses, schools, clubs and organizations donate tons of food annually, the largest portion of the food, household and health items distributed comes from The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri in Columbia. This food is moved from the Food Bank in Columbia to our facility through the help of local businesses.
Our programs would not be able to serve the large number of individuals that we do, if it were not for the large base of volunteers who give over 25,000 hours annually; what a blessing these individuals are to the community. The volunteers come from churches and individuals who desire to help in support of our mission.
Open Door Service Center began and still is an extension of the ministries of many area churches. If your church is interested in joining this effort you can obtain information from the Executive Director at 827-1613.
